S. W. Dassenaike
S. W. Dassenaike was a Ceylonese engineer and politician.
Educated at Royal College, Colombo, Dassenaike qualified as an engineer and joined the Public Works Department.[citation needed] Following his retirement he was elected to the 1st State Council of Ceylon in 1931 from Colombo South from the Ceylon Labour Party.[citation needed] His daughter Leah Dassenaike was the first wife of Harold Peiris.[1][2]
