"Sana gurban" is an Azerbaijani song by Alekper Taghiyev with lyrics by Mikayil Mushfig. It was first released in 1968 by Zeynab Khanlarova.[1]

In Syria, the song "Sene Qurban" was performed in Arabic by the main character in the popular 1972 television show "Sah Al-Noom".[2] An Armenian version of the song, "Karoun Karoun," was released in 1973 by Lebanese-Armenian singer Adiss Harmandian.[citation needed]

The song was sung in 2012 during anti-government protests in Syria, with protestors replacing the original text with demands for country leadership resignation.[2]
