Saudi Elderly Support Organization (WAQAR) is a non-profit organization. Waqar was established in 2015 in the Saudi capital Riyadh. The Organization's main aim is to support the elderly people in Saudi Arabia.[1] WAQAR is an Arabic noun meaning dignity, and is usually associated with elderly people.[2]

Goals[]

The Saudi Elderly Support Organization (WAQAR) main aim is to support elderly people, create programs and initiations that suits their needs, improve the services provided to them, empowering elderlies and their role in the society, raise awareness towards their cases, and enhance the relevant research areas.[3]

Latest[]

In 2019, WAQAR launched "Honor our Elderly" campaign in Jeddah to raise awareness towards elderly physical, financial, health, and psychological abuse through shedding light on how to protect and care for them.[4]
