Seaton High School is a coeducational public secondary school based in Seaton, a suburb of the City of Charles Sturt in western Adelaide, South Australia. The school has a total enrolment of more than 800 students per year, with an official count of 875 students in 2018.[1]

Seaton High School's current role of Principal is held by Richard Abell. The school also consists of one Deputy Principal, five Assistant Principals, one Business Manager, two Student Counsellors, five Year Level Coordinators and 61 full-time equivalent teaching staff.[1][2]

A future development of the school, through utilisation of a $20 million grant through the Department for Education's Better Schools Program, is currently under development. The development process is expected to be completed before the introduction of the Year 7 cohort to the school in 2022.[3][4]

Middle School[]

Year 8 students undertake the full year subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Applied Science, History and Japanese, as well as the subjects of Arts (Visual Arts or Performing Arts), Health & Physical Activity (Physical Education, Dance or Baseball) and Technology (Woodwork, Metalwork, Plastics, Electronics, CAD and Robotics) for one semester, and Geography and Food & Nutrition for one term.[8]

Year 9 students undertake the compulsory subjects of English, Mathematics, Science and History for the whole year, as well as the semester-long subject of Health & Physical Activity (Physical Education, Dance or Baseball). Students also choose three of the following semester-long or year-long elective subjects:

Year 10 students undertake the compulsory subjects of English, Mathematics (General Mathematics, Essential Mathematics or Mathematics 10A) and Science for the whole year, as well as Modern History and the Personal Learning Plan for one semester. Each student also undertakes a semester-long subject with a physical component (Applied Environmental Studies, Baseball, Dance, Fitness or Physical Education).
