Shaistaganj Junction railway station is a junction railway station situated in Shayestaganj Upazila of Habiganj District in Bangladesh. It was one of the five junction railway stations of Sylhet Division of Assam Bengal Railway during the British era.

History[]

The station was opened in 1903 on Akhaura–Kulaura–Chhatak line.[1] Then it became a junction station when Habiganj Bazar–Shaistaganj–Balla railway was opened in 1928–29.[2] But later in 2003, that line was abandoned and in 2005, almost 15 km long Habiganj Bazar–Shaistaganj line was taken off.[2] The station was modernized from 2005 to 2009.[1]
