Sheopur Vidhan Sabha constituency is one of the 230 Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) constituencies of Madhya Pradesh state in central India.[1] This constituency came into existence in 1951, as Sheopur Pohri, one of the 79 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the erstwhile Madhya Bharat state.[2]

Overview[]

Sheopur (constituency number 1) is one of the two Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in Sheopur district. This constituency covers the entire Sheopur sub-division.[3]

Sheopur is part of Morena Lok Sabha constituency along with seven other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely, Vijaypur in this district and Sabalgarh, Joura, Sumawali, Morena, Dimani and Ambah in Morena district.[3]
