Shin-Toyamaguchi Station (新富山口駅, Shin-Toyamaguchi-eki) is going to open in 2022, be a railway station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway Line in the city of Toyama, Toyama Prefecture, Japan, operated by the third-sector railway operator Ainokaze Toyama Railway. There used to be also a freight sorting yard for the Japan Freight Railway Company.

History[]

  • 17 June 2014:Determined station to install this place.[3]
  • 10 July 2019: Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism give approval to install a new station.[4]
  • 2020
    • 13 January:Started to build station facilities. [5]
    • Between on 20 October and 18 November:Publicly solicit names for a new station from people who lives in Toyoma and belongs to fanclub of Ainokaze Toyama Railway.[6]
  • 17 February:Determined station name to "Shin-Toyamaguchi".[1][7]
  • March 2022:The station is going to open.[1][8][9]
