The shining-green hummingbird (Chrysuronia goudoti) is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Colombia and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and heavily degraded former forest.
This species was formerly placed in the genus Lepidopyga. A molecular phylogenetic study published in 2014 found that Lepidopyga was polyphyletic.[2] In the revised classification to create monophyletic genera, the shining-green hummingbird was moved to Chrysuronia.[3][4]
