Shree Saini is an Indian-American beauty pageant titleholder who overcame heart surgery and suffering facial burns from a car accident.[4][5]

Early life[]

Shree Saini was born on January 6, 1996 in Ludhiana, Punjab, India, and has lived in the United States since age 5.[4][6] During her childhood, Saini witnessed poverty and since then, advocates that everyone take upon themselves a social responsibility to give back.

For the first 12 years of her life, while growing up in Moses Lake, Washington,[7] Saini's heartbeat had an average of just 20 beats per minute.[8] Doctors told her she could never dance again but she persisted and practiced extra hours for years so she could dance again.[9][10]

Later in life Saini was involved in a major car accident in Moses Lake that resulted in her suffering from significant facial burns.[11][12] Saini was advised that her recovery would take a year, but she returned to her classes after just two weeks.

Advocacy[]

These two incidents have led Saini to dedicate much of her time to talking publicly about heart health and emotional health.

Shree has been a visiting student at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford University, later earning her undergrad at the University of Washington. She is a trained ballerina, and has been accepted to train at Joffrey Ballet.[13]

In 2020, Saini was also a ‘World Peace Messenger’ award recipient from Passion Vista.[15] On October 2nd, 2021, Shree Saini was appointed Miss World America 2021 and crowned by Diana Hayden, Miss World 1997.
