The Skye Football Club is an Australian rules football club located in the bayside suburbs of Melbourne. The club participates in The Southern Football League is an Australian rules football league, based in the south and south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria.
History[]
The club was established in 2005 and commenced playing in the Southern Football League Third Division in 2006. The club is based at Carrum Downs Recreation Reserve.
The Bombers, as they became known, began to experience premiership success with the Reserves side winning the 2007 flag.
The club won both third division flags, seniors and reserves in 2009. The Senior’s triumph meant the promotion of the club to Division 2 from 2010 onwards in which they have remained competitive, the clubs best effort was runners-up in the 2014 Division 2 Grand Final.
