Stainsby, North Yorkshire
Coordinates: 54°32′01″N 1°16′56″W / 54.5337°N 1.2821°W Stainsby, in North Yorkshire, England, is an abandoned village near the Acklam suburb of Middlesbrough and town of Thornaby. Little more than mounds near the A19 road are now visible.[1]
Stainsby Grange Farm, Stainsby Hall Farm and Stainsby Hill Farm retain the former village's name. Stainsby Beck forms part of the Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough borough boundary. Nearby Acklam Grange School was formerly named Stainsby.
