Stevan Faddy Jr. (Стеван Фeди; born 2 September 1986, in Kotor) is a Montenegrin musician. He took part in Montevizija 2006, singing "Cipele". He also participated in Sunčane Skale 2003 singing "Poslednja obala". On 25 February 2007, he won a landslide victory in MontenegroSong 2007 with his song "Ajde Kroči" and won a ticket to represent Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007[1] held in Helsinki, Finland. Stevan was the first singer representing Montenegro after its independence. He is currently living in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Music career[]

As a student of the Kotor Music School, at the age of only 15, Stevan Faddy Jr. becomes the frontman of Tivat's famous Pop-Rock band "RainDogz". Along with this, he started writing and composing songs for other Montenegrin artists and attracted media attention in 2003 by winning the final evening of the television show "The Voice" (Intro Karaoke), and soon after winning the "Silver Mermaid" (second place). at the "Evenings of New Stars" of the reunion national festival "Suncane Skale" in 2003 with the song "The Last Coast", The next year 2004 he received music award “Montefon” as the “breakthrough of the year”.

As the youngest author of that year, with his composition, the ballad "Consolation", in 2005 he won second place at Montevision and fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest.

At Montevizija in 2006, Stevan Faddy Jr. took first place (12 points out of seven (out of eight) members of the jury and 10 votes of the audience) with the song "Shoes" by Aleksandar Sasa Filipovic to the lyrics of Jelena Galonic, leaving behind last year's winners No Name . However, at the Euro-Song-Euro-Song in Belgrade, the Montenegrin members of the jury have a completely different opinion and all four give 12 points to No Name and 10 points to Stevan, and he ranks third in the number of points. In public appearances after a dispute that erupted after a scandalously divided and biased jury vote (and ended with the withdrawal of Serbia-Montenegro from the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest)

On 25 February 2007, he won a landslide victory in MontenegroSong 2007 with his song "Ajde Kroči" and won a ticket to represent Montenegro in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 held in Helsinki, Finland. Stevan was the first singer representing Montenegro after its independence. He is currently living in Podgorica, Montenegro.

William John Faddy was 2nd Lieutenant of Marines with the 88th Company serving on HMS Champion, Medway and Crescent then in 1783 on Leander. He transferred on 18 February 1784 to 54th Co Plymouth, shortly after marrying Martha.  On 30 June 1787 he was officially instructed to join the Friendship in Phillip's First Fleet for Botany Bay.  Doing a tour of duty on Norfolk Island, Faddy arrived back in 1791 to Port Jackson on the Queen, before sailing to England aboard the Gorgon.

On 18 May 1793 Faddy was commissioned 1st Lieutenant 76th Company and served on Royal Sovereign in 1794, the flagship of Admiral Cornwallis.  At the battle during which Cornwallis beat off a Dutch fleet four times as large as the British Fleet, Faddy was awarded a medal for his part in the campaign. Faddy was promoted Captain of the Marines on 24 July 1797 and in December 1797 went aboard Admiral Horatio Nelson's Flagship Vanguard.  Faddy died of wounds in August 1798 during action at the Battle of the Nile.  He died insolvent; Martha maintained it was his years in NSW that caused their financial difficulties.  Son William was aboard the Vanguard as Cabin Boy.  Admiral Nelson promised to see to William's education in the Navy.
