Sundar Haraicha (Nepali: सुन्दर हरैचा) is a municipality in Morang District of Province No. 1 in Nepal that was established on 10 March 2017 by merging the former municipalities Sundar Dulari and Koshi Haraicha.[1][2][3] At the time of the 2011 Nepal census, the localities formed had a joint population of 80,518 people living in 18,610 individual households.[4]

On 10 March 2017, Sundar Haraicha was created through merging the former municipalities Sundar Dulari and Koshi Haraicha.[5]

Sundar Dulari[]

Sundar Dulari Municipality was a municipality in Morang District in south-eastern Nepal. The municipality was formed by the Government of Nepal merging two villages i.e. Sundarpur and Dulari in May 2014. [6][7] At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 6860 people living in 1262 individual households.[8]

Koshi Haraicha[]

Koshi Haraicha Municipality was a municipality in Morang District in south-eastern Nepal. Earlier, the municipality was formed merging the three existing villages, Haraicha, Mrigaulia, and Indrapur, in May 2014.[9][10] At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 10,592 living in 1,930 households.[11]

Mahendra Highway (East-West Highway) passes through Sundar Haraicha Municipality and links the municipality to the national main road link of Nepal.
