Suresh Pillai (born 25 April 1978) is an Indian chef and television personality, best known as a contestant of the MasterChef UK reality television show of BBC, from India.[1]

Early life[]

Suresh Pillai was born to Sasidharan Pillai and Radhamma at Thekkumbhagam in Kollam district of Kerala.[2] He completed his schooling from GPHSS, Chavara South. He was a chess player, and participated in several state and national level competitions.[3]

Professional life[]

Suresh started his career as waiter at a restaurant in Kollam, Kerala after his high school education.[2] Later he moved to Bangalore. After working six years as a head chef there, Suresh joined The Leela. He joined the Veeraswamy restaurant at London in 2005.[4] Suresh is currently the corporate chef and Culinary Director at The Raviz Hotel, Kollam.[5] Suresh was also a guest lecturer and guest chef at University of the Bahamas in its Culinary and Hospitality Management Institute.[6]
