The company, founded in 1998, is headquartered in Nevada City, California with personnel in France, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Canada and the UK.[2]

Telestream provides live and on-demand digital video tools and workflow solutions[buzzword] that allow consumers and businesses to transform video on the desktop and across the enterprise.

As of Q1 2010, revenues for enterprise products were up 25% for the first quarter over the previous year, and desktop products grew by 45%.[3] More than 80% of the top broadcast station groups, media companies and Fortune 100 companies, along with millions of consumers, currently use Telestream products.[4]

Telestream products span the entire digital media lifecycle, including video capture and ingest; live and on-demand encoding and transcoding; captioning; playback and inspection, delivery, live streaming, workflow automation and orchestration, and monitoring and management of quality service and experience over networks. The company also partners closely with digital media companies across the entire digital media lifecycle, from consumer to enterprise.

  • IQ Solutions are products and solutions[buzzword] that provide analytics to monitor, analyze and optimize video — independent of the screen or network — with end-to-end visibility into subscriber, viewing experience, channel, and advertisement.
  • Vantage, a video transcoding and workflow automation solution[buzzword] that enables file format conversion, device interoperability and intelligent workflow orchestration for multiscreen, OTT, broadcast, cable, and IPTV distribution, as well as production and archiving.

  • Vidchecker is a Windows software application that provides automated checking of video/audio file conformance. It can check file-based video before and after distribution, and is used by broadcasters for checking files received from post production and content distributors.
