Tiara Anugrah Eka Setyo Andini (born 23 September 2001), known by her stage name Tiara Andini is an Indonesian singer, actress and presenter. She is known as runner up the tenth season of Indonesian Idol, broadcast by the national television channels RCTI in 2019–2020.[2][3][4] Early in her career, Andini received an award as best of the best new artist at the 2020 AMI Awards, which is Indonesia's Grammy Awards. In addition, she also received an award as Best New Asian Artist at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Life and career[]

Andini has a hobby of singing since she was in kindergarten, and she started vocal training in grade five of elementary school. Andini was enrolled in SD Al-Furqan Jember (Al-Furqan Jember Elementary School). Andini continued her education in SMP Negeri 3 Jember (3 Jember State Junior High School), and then continued to a high school in Jember.[5]

In 2018, Andini was entrusted to be the prototype fashion show of Jember Fashion Carnaval with the theme of South Korea at the close of the 2018 Asian Games. At that time, Andini also had the opportunity to get a moment with one of the famous boy groups from South Korea, Super Junior.

Tiara Andini received her first AMI Awards (Indonesia's Grammy Award) in 2020.

Andini started her singing career at the Indonesian Idol X audition. After graduating from Indonesian Idol, Andini made her debut as a professional singer. She released her first song entitled Gemintang Hatiku. This song was released February 28, 2020. Through this debut single, Andini received the AMI Awards as the best newcomer and the Mnet Asian Music Awards as the Best New Asian Artist Indonesia in 2020.[6][7]

On July 9, 2020, Andini released the song "Maafkan Aku #TerlanjurMencinta" written by Yovie Widianto almost simultaneously with Lyodra and Ziva Magnolya also releasing the same song with different titles and arrangements.[8] The music video for the song Maafkan Aku #TerlanjurMencinta reached number one of the YouTube trending in Indonesia.[9] The song is number 1 chart on all digital music platforms in Indonesia. This song won an award at the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards as Best Composer of the Year for Yovie Widianto. [10]

With the success of the song Maafkan Aku #TerlanjurMencinta , Widianto is interested in inviting Andini to collaborate more. In 2021, Andini in collaboration with Yovie Widianto and his son Arsy Widianto released a mini album with a music series concept entitled ArTi Untuk Cinta which means Arsy and Tiara for Love. This album contains 5 songs of which 4 are duet songs between Andini and Arsy Widianto. The first single from this album, entitled Cintanya Aku was successful in trending 1 on Youtube in Indonesia. Through her debut single and mini album duet with Arsy Widianto, Andini increasingly shows her existence in the Indonesian music industry and gets a warm welcome from Indonesian music fans. She received an award as Indonesian Artist Of The Year at the 2021 Joox Indonesia Music Awards.

Even though Andini is a newcomer, at the beginning of her career, she has become a brand ambassador for one of the wireless network operators in Indonesia, smartfren and at the same time starred in advertisements for these products. At the end of 2020, Andini starred in advertisements for Samsung Galaxy A51. In 2021, Andini starred in an advertisement for one of the famous coffee products in Indonesia, Good Day and became a Brand Ambassador for that product. In June 2021, Andini duet with Arsy Widianto was asked to sing Telkomsel's official theme song with the title Memilih Aku. This song is a song created by Yovie Widianto which was made specifically for the official Telkomsel 2021 theme song.
