XDefiant (formerly Tom Clancy's XDefiant) is an upcoming free-to-play multiplayer competitive first-person fast-paced[1] arena shooter video game. Under development by Ubisoft, the setting of the game revolves around factions called "Defiant", Wolves (Ghost Recon), Echelon (Splinter Cell), and the Outcasts and Cleaners (The Division).[2][3] Defiants are customizable with traits, abilities, devices, weapons and items.[4] In March 2022, the game was rebranded as a standalone title, and it was announced the game would feature characters from other Ubisoft franchises.
Development[]
A closed test of a pre-alpha version of XDefiant occurred in North America in 2021.[5] It has 6-versus-6 linear game modes (such as “Domination” and “Escort”). Game has Punk visual art elements.[6]
