Vehicle registration plates of the United Arab Emirates

Vehicle registration plates of the United Arab Emirates come under the jurisdiction of each of the country's seven emirates and each of them have their unique plate numbering design and system. The international code for the United Arab Emirates is UAE.

Abu Dhabi license plates have Red bands on left or middle sides, or feature one of the numbers 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 or 17, 50 (for year) in red bands on top or left side. Numbers contain a maximum of five digits.

Ras Al Khaimah United Arab Emirates Ras Al Khaimah License Plate - 550x110mm.png United Arab Emirates Ras Al Khaimah License Plate - 335x155mm.png Ras Al Khaimah license plates can have one of the letters: A, C, D, I, K, M, N, S, V or Y, on a white plate, or feature a fort on the top side of the plate.
