Vejsil Varupa (born January 25, 1971 - died 1994) is a former Bosnian footballer.[1]

During the Bosnian War, he was a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was rumored to have been killed.[citation needed] A big talent, he played alongside future starts like Zlatko Zahović and Mario Stanić for Yugoslav representative teams, but his career ended at age 22 after he was seriously injured in a road accident where teammate died.[2][3]

Personal life[]

He was the older brother of Elvedin Varupa.[4]
