Venustiano Carranza is a city and one of the 119 municipalities of Chiapas, in southern Mexico.
As of 2010, the municipality had a total population of 61,341,[1] up from 52,833 as of 2005.[2] It covers an area of 1396.1 km².
As of 2010, the city of Venustiano Carranza had a population of 15,496.[1] Other than the city of Venustiano Carranza, the municipality had 436 localities, the largest of which (with 2010 populations in parentheses) were: (7,137), (3,904), (3,483), (3,413), (3,084), classified as urban, and (2,409), (1,997), (1,930), (1,767), (1,566), (1,178), and (1,092), classified as rural.[1]
