Sifted (formerly VeriShip) is the leading logistics data-science platform that helps shippers save money by optimizing business decisions. Though originally founded in 2005, 2020 kicked off a new era as Sifted and VeriShip merged. The combination created a new model for managing transportation spend — one that brought together the power of self-service technology and transportation data science to help shippers navigate an increasingly complex shipping environment.[1] The company is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, having been previously headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.[2][3]

  • Sifted (formerly VeriShip) was founded in 2005[3]
  • In 2015, the company announced a move to Overland Park, Kansas to accommodate employee growth in sales, data science and software development.[4]
  • In July 2015, Sifted (formerly VeriShip) launched a cloud-based parcel tracking platform allows companies collect and analyze data to uncover savings opportunities in their shipping spend.

  • In December 2019, Sifted (formerly VeriShip) acquired Valence, an Utah-based company that tracks packages shipped by Amazon.[6]
  • In October 2020, VeriShip merged with Sifted to offer first and only predictive analytics platform for logistics[7]

The company was named to the Inc. 5000 list in 2014 and 2015 which ranks the fastest-growing private companies in America.[3]

Sifted (formerly VeriShip) was honored in 2019 as finalist in the Top 10 Small Business award from the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.[9]

The company was recognized by the Kansas City Business Journal as one of Kansas City's fastest growing businesses in 2014 and 2015 and a Best Place to Work in 2018.[10][11][12]

In 2020, Sifted (formerly VeriShip) was named one of Supply & Demand Chain Executive's Top Supply Chain Projects for 2020. [13]
