Werner Heine (born 14 August 1935) is a German former footballer.

The defender played 223 East German top-flight matches.^[1]

Heine won 29 caps for the East German national team until 1964.^[2]

Managerial career[]

Heine was assistant manager at BSG Wismut Aue between 1971 and 1974, and manager of BSG Stahl Hennigsdorf from 1984 to 1985.
