Whitney Bilyeu is an American politician, educator, and real estate agent from Texas who is the 21st and current chair of the Libertarian National Committee, the governing body of the Libertarian Party. She was elected on July 12, 2021, to fill the vacancy created by Joe Bishop-Henchman's resignation.[8] She is the fourth woman to hold the office.[9] She has also been the chair of the Libertarian Party of Texas since August 2, 2020,[10] and has run for public office in Texas three times.

LNC Chair (2021–present)[]

On August 29, 2021, Bilyeu ruled that a motion to suspend Secretary Caryn Ann Harlos introduced by At-Large Member Laura Ebke on August 27 could proceed without a special notice period, overturning a previous ruling by Acting Chair Ken Moellman that a June 22 motion to suspend Harlos was out of order because five days' notice are required per charge in a suspension motion.[11][12] Moellman had already ruled a previous motion to suspend Harlos out of order on June 20, on different grounds.[13][14] On September 5, Bilyeu voted in favor of Ebke's suspension motion, which was successful.[15]
