Yasmin Mogahed (born: March 11, 1980) is an American psychologist and motivational speaker. She is a specialist in spirituality, psychology, and personal development.[2] Mogahed is a writer for the Huffington Post and the first female instructor at the AlMaghrib Institute[3][4]

She completed her B.S. in psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She also completed a master's degree in journalism and mass communications from the same university. She writes for HuffPost and formerly wrote for InFocus News.[5] She is the first Muslim woman to become an instructor at AlMaghrib Institute.[6] Formerly she had been an instructor for the Cardinal Stritch University. She is known internationally for her motivational lectures.[7]
