Reversal[]

It reverses direction of travel twice during its run at Durgapur and MGR Chennai Central [7] [8] [9].

Traction[]

3 locomotives are assigned to this train due to the entire route yet to be fully electrified. A -based WDM-3A hauls the train from Kamakhya Junction up to Durgapur handing over to a -based WAP-4 until Chennai Central after which a Lallaguda or Erode-based WAP-4 locomotive powers the train all the way up to Yesvantpur Junction [10] [11].
