Zdunki [ˈzdunki] (German: Sdunken, 1938-45: Ulrichsfelde)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ełk, within Ełk County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[2] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Ełk and 122 km (76 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
Local cuisine[]
Beef and cabbage form the basis of many local dishes, particularly soft-boiled cabbage leaves wrapped around minced beef. Another speciality is breaded cutlets, and for sweet treats, piernik (gingerbread).
