Zhu Gui (Chinese: 朱桂; 25 August 1374 – 29 December 1446), the Prince of Yu (豫王, 1378–1392), later the Prince of Dai (代王), was an imperial prince of the Chinese Ming dynasty. He was the 13th son of Hongwu Emperor and Consort Hui.[1]

Life[]

He on born on the 25th of the seventh lunar month of the reign of Hongwu .[2]

In the eleventh year (1378) of Hongwu Emperor,He was named Prince Yu of Feng(齊恭).In the twenty-fifth (1392), his princely titlewas changed and he became Prince of Dai.[3]

In the first year of Jianwen Emperor,his wrongdoings were discovered and he was deposed as a commoner.However,he regained his princedom when Zhu Di became the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty.[4][5]
