  • 22 FebruaryAlexander Bicknor, Archbishop of Dublin is appointed 'custos and acting justiciar.
  • 16 MarchJohn Morice is appointed deputy justiciar.
  • 5 MayElizabeth de Burgh, daughter of William Donn, 4th Earl of Ulster, is betrothed to Lionel of Antwerp, 1st Duke of Clarence (see 9 September).
  • 24 July – general resumption of all grants made since the death of Edward I.
  • 27 July – ordinance excluding all but Englishmen beneficed in England from holding office in Ireland.
