The 1965 UC Riverside Highlanders football team represented UC Riverside during the 1965 NCAA College Division football season. The Highlanders competed as an independent in 1965.

UC Riverside was led by first-year head coach Pete Kettela. They played home games at Highlander Stadium in Riverside, California. The Highlanders finished the season with a record of six wins and two losses (6–2). Overall, the team outscored its opponents 189–183 for the season.
