The 1973 UC Riverside Highlanders football team represented UC Riverside during the 1973 NCAA Division II football season.

UC Riverside competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The team was led by second-year head coach Wayne Howard. They played home games at Highlander Stadium in Riverside, California. The Highlanders finished the season with a record of eight wins and two losses (8–2, 3–1 CCAA).
