UC Riverside competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). The team was led by first-year head coach Wayne Howard. They played home games at Highlander Stadium in Riverside, California. The Highlanders finished the season as CCAA co-champion, with a record of nine wins and one loss (9–1, 3–0 CCAA). Overall, the team outscored its opponents 207–113 for the season.
