The 2017 Moldovan "A" Division (Romanian: Divizia A) was the 27th season of Moldovan football's second-tier league. A total of 13 teams competed in this division. Sheriff-2 Tiraspol were the defending champions. The season began on 14 July 2017 and ended on 25 November 2017.

Format[]
In the initial phase of the season, each of the thirteen teams play the other twelve teams one time. After 12 rounds, the league splits into two sections, a top six and a bottom seven, with each team playing all the other teams in their section once.

Notes:
- ^ As per regulations, Victoria Bardar was to be promoted but the club did not apply on time for the National club license for the 2018 Divizia Națională season. Received a license on 29 March 2018, 3 days before the start of the next season[1][2]
- ^ Sheriff-2 Tiraspol completed the season but withdrew from the league prior to the start of the next season.
- ^ Sparta Selemet completed the season but withdrew from the league prior to the start of the next season.
- ^ Zimbru-2 Chișinău completed the season but withdrew from the league prior to the start of the next season.
- ^ As per regulations, the eleventh placed team, Codru Lozova was to be relegated to Divizia B, but the club spared relegation due to lack of teams.[3]
