The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation election, 2022 is an election of members to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation which governs Greater Mumbai, the largest city in India. The 2022 BMC elections are likely to happen in late March or early April 2022.[1][2][3][4] [5]

Background[]

After the 2017 BMC elections, Vishwanath Mahadeshwar of Shiv Sena become the mayor of Mumbai with the support from Bhartiya Janata Party.

The 2022 polls are scheduled to be held in February but due to the delimitation of ward boundaries the polls are likely to be delay by March-April.[6]
