The 2022 Coastal Carolina Chanticleers football team will represent Coastal Carolina University in the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Chanticleers will be lead by fourth-year head coach Jamey Chadwell and will play their home games at Brooks Stadium. They will compete as a member of the East Division of the Sun Belt Conference.

Previous season[]

In the previous season the Chanticleers finished with an 11–2, 6–2 record and a Cure Bowl victory over Northern Illinois. This was the Chanticleers' first ever bowl game victory.[1]

Quarterback Grayson McCall set a new FBS record for single-season passer rating at 207.6, breaking the record set by Alabama's Mac Jones the previous season.[2] Though eligible for the NFL draft as a redshirt sophomore, McCall announced he would return to Coastal for the 2022 season.[3]

Schedule[]

Coastal Carolina has announced the dates for all non-conference games. All conference games were announced in early March 2022.[4][5][6]
