Governor Andy Beshear was elected in 2019 with 49.2% of the vote. He will be running for re-election.[1] There is a possibility that this is a rematch of the 2019 Kentucky Gubernatorial election. Kentucky State Auditor Mike Harmon is running for the Republican nomination. Potential Republican candidates include State Representative Savannah Maddox, Attorney General of Kentucky Daniel Cameron, Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball, U.S. Representative James Comer, former governor Matt Bevin, former US Ambassador to the UN Kelly Craft, and Commissioner of Agriculture Ryan Quarles[4]
Louisiana[]
Governor John Bel Edwards was re-elected to a second term in 2019 with 51.3% of the vote. He will be term-limited by the Louisiana Constitution in 2023, and will therefore be unable to seek re-election for a third consecutive term. Potential Republican candidates include Attorney General Jeff Landry, Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser, U.S. Representative Garret Graves, state senator Sharon Hewitt, Treasurer John Schroder, Agricultural commissioner , and U.S. Senator John Kennedy.[5][6]
Mississippi[]
Governor Tate Reeves was elected in 2019 with 51.9% of the vote. He is eligible to run for re-election, but has not yet stated whether he will do so.
