Airport Central Station, or simply Airport Central, is a future underground station on the Airport Line in Perth, Western Australia.[2] It is being built underneath the proposed consolidated terminal at Perth Airport as part of the Forrestfield-Airport Link project for providing rail services to both the airport and areas east of it.[3][4] The station will be located between the airport terminals, which are scheduled to be relocated and consolidated by 2022.[needs update][2] In early proposals, the station was named Consolidated Airport.

The station is connected to Terminal 1 by a 280-metre-long (920 ft) skyway featuring travelators.[5][6] Terminal 2 is about 150 metres (490 ft) from Terminal 1, and about 200 metres (660 ft) from Airport Central. As of May 2021, the 35-metre-long (115 ft) main escalator in Airport Central holds the record for the longest single-span uninterrupted escalator in the Southern Hemisphere.[1][5][7]

The station is planned to open in 2022.[1]

Services and platforms[]

Airport Central will be serviced by Transperth services operating between Claremont and High Wycombe.[2]
