Alankrita Sahai (born 14 April 1994) is an Indian supermodel-turned-actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss India Earth 2014. She is the first Indian to win 7 titles at the Miss Earth pageant held in the Philippines. In 2018, she made her acting debut with the Netflix romantic comedy film called Love per Square Foot. The same year, she also played the role of Alisha in the film Namaste England. She is also a Tedx Speaker. She has worked with over 200 brands and has been the face of many leading brands. She is the last India's representative at Miss Earth who was chosen by Femina Miss India and Miss Diva. At the Miss Earth contest she won the most number of awards including a gold medal for evening gown, silver medal for Miss Photogenic and bronze medal for swimsuit and national costume. She is also a social worker who is heavily dedicated to helping the underprivileged.

Early life[]

Sahai was born in New Delhi, India. She did her schooling from the American Embassy School in Delhi and from Noida. For her higher studies she got enrolled in Gargi College, University of Delhi and University of Southern California.[1]

Pageantry[]

Miss Diva 2014[]

Sahai joined the second Miss Diva contest. She was proclaimed as the first runner up, gaining the title of Miss India Earth 2014. She succeeded Gurleen Grewal as the first runner from Miss Diva and Sobhita Dhulipala as Miss India Earth. Grewal was sent to Miss International 2013.

During the entire course of the competition, Sahai won in various categories including Miss Style Icon, Miss Perfect Body and Miss Talent. In Miss Talent award, she and Shruti Iyer were the winners.

Miss Earth 2014[]

By gaining Miss India Earth title, Sahai flew to the Philippines to compete with almost 100 other candidates to be Alyz Henrich's[2][3] successor as Miss Earth.

During the entire run of the competition, she was able to bag some awards such as best in evening gown, second place for Miss Photogenic award, and third place both for swimsuit and national costume rounds. Her national costume was designed by internationally acclaimed fashion designer and beauty pageant mentor . Sahai was also awarded as one of the ten winners for the "Eco Beauty Video" category. However, she won 7 titles internationally and was the first Indian to win so many titles at a beauty pageant and won the crown as Miss Pagudpud at the same competition.
