Amyra Dastur (born 7 May 1993)[1][2] is an Indian actress who has starred in Hindi, Tamil, International and Telugu Films.[3][4] She started her career at the age of 16 as an Indian model and made a name for herself by endorsing big brands such as Clean and Clear, Airtel, Garnier and Micromax.
She made her Debut in Bollywood with the Prateik Babbar starter, Issaq, where Amyra received critical appreciation for her performance. She also made her Tamil debut in K.V. Anand’s box office hit, Anegan, alongside Dhanush.
Early life and career[]
Amyra Dastur began her education in Cathedral and John Connon School. She started her Secondary education from Dhirubhai Ambani International School but dropped out to pursue acting. Dastur is Parsi and she speaks English and Gujarati at home.[5] She is currently studying in Mumbai's HR College.[6] Dastur started her career as a model in commercials.
Dastur made her Hindi cinema-acting debut in Manish Tiwary's romantic drama[7] Issaq, alongside Prateik Babbar.[8][9]
Amyra in her first international project, Kung Fu Yoga acted alongside Jackie Chan which released in India on 3 February 2017.[10]
Amyra Dastur was also seen in director Akshat Verma's next, titled Kaalakaandi, starring Saif Ali Khan. Amyra shot for a song in the film which is an upbeat dance number and has some fun lyrics. The track has been choreographed by Adil Malik of Kar Gayi Chul fame.[11]
She debuted in Telugu Cinema with Mahesh Babu’s sister’s first Directorial venture, Manasuku Nachindi. Again in 2018, Amyra had her second Telugu release with Rajugadu opposite Raj Tarun.[12]
