Annen is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. Located in the municipality of Aa en Hunze, it lies about 12 km (7.4 mi) northeast of Assen. In 2020, Annen had a population of 3,610.

History[]

In 2001, the town of Annen had 3,111 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town, which was 1.2 km² (0.5 sq mi), contained 1,250 residences.[1] The statistical area of Annen, which also includes the surrounding countryside, had a population of 3,720 as of 2005.[2]
