Aregnadem (Armenian: Արեգնադեմ)[1] is a village and rural community (municipality) in the Shirak Province of Armenia.

History[]

Aregnadem village was founded as an Armenian village by Armenians from Georgia, Azerbaijan and Gyumri in 1988, after the outbreak of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Prior, the village mostly had Azerbaijani inhabitants.[1]

Population[]

The National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (ARMSTAT) reported its population was 342 in 2010,[2] down from 407 at the 2001 census.[3]
