Ayr Academicals Football Club were a football team from the Scottish town of Ayr. Founded in 1876 by the merger of Ayr Academy F.C. and Ayr Eglinton F.C., Ayr Academicals played at Mr. Dewer's Cattle Field[1] between 1876 and 1877, before moving to Springvale Park, where they played until they eventually merged with Ayr Thistle to form Ayr F.C., where Ayr F.C. continued to play until they moved to Beresford Park in 1884.[2]
