Bird Saddle

Bird Saddle (

77°23′S 166°54′E / 77.383°S 166.900°E / -77.383; 166.900Coordinates: 77°23′S 166°54′E / 77.383°S 166.900°E / -77.383; 166.900) is one of three prominent snow saddles on Ross Island, this one at about 800 metres (2,600 ft) between Mount Bird and Mount Erebus. It was named in association with Mount Bird, which rises to 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) to the north of this saddle.
