Joyce Peak

Joyce Peak (

77°28′S 168°12′E / 77.467°S 168.200°E / -77.467; 168.200Coordinates: 77°28′S 168°12′E / 77.467°S 168.200°E / -77.467; 168.200) is a peak rising to over 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the northern central part of Ross Island, Antarctica. It stands west of the main summits of Giggenbach Ridge and 5.3 miles (8.5 km) south-southeast of Wyandot Point. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (2000) after , a long-term employee, who from 1990 made 22 deployments to McMurdo Station, including a winter-over, and assisted with computers in the Crary Science and Engineering Center.^[1]
