"Bring It On" is a song written and recorded by the American singer Lenny Kravitz and released on 25 October 2007 as the first single from his album It Is Time for a Love Revolution.[1][2] The song was released as a radio-only single to U.S. rock stations. Anoushka Shankar, a daughter of sitar maestro Ravi Shankar, was invited to perform a sitar part.[3][4]

Reception[]

Reuters review called the song "the crunchy, Led Zeppelin-styled blues rock".[5] Susan Frances of Hybrid Magazine wrote, "Proceeding with the guitar rock psychedelic streams of "Bring It On" fitted with overtones of Indian-erotica and '70s soft-pop esthetics, Kravitz shows that he is loyal to his old ways."[6]

Use[]

The song was played on the 9th episode ("For Tonight You're Only Here to Know") of the fifth season of the drama series One Tree Hill.[7]
