D.P. (Korean디피) is an upcoming South Korean television series starring Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun and Son Seok-koo. Based on the webtoon D.P: Dog Days by Kim Bo-tong, the series is co-written by Kim and Han Jun-hee. The latter also serves as the director. D.P. is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 27, 2021.[2][3]

Synopsis[]

D.P., which stands for Deserter Pursuit, tells the story of a team of soldiers whose mission is to catch deserters.

In late June 2020, Lezhin Entertainment officially announced that Lezhin Studio and Homemade Film would co-produce a 6-part adaptation of the hit webtoon D.P: Dog Days by Kim Bo-tong, to be released exclusively through Netflix.[4][5]

Casting[]

On September 3, 2020, Jung Hae-in, Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Sung-kyun and Son Seok-koo were confirmed to star in the series.[6][7]

Filming[]

Principal photography began in the summer of 2020.[8]
