Internet career[]

Daniel José Santomé Lemus[3] was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife,[4] on 31 October 1993.[5] in 2009, created his first YouTube channel, "Dalasito hasta en la sopa", where he uploaded short films, and he is currently dedicated to uploading videoblogs. In 2011, he created two channels "Dalas Sin Filtros" and "Whathegame", where he uploads controversial opinions and gameplays, respectively, and in 2012, Dalas created his main channel "Dalas Review", where he uploads review videos and etc, However, the Dalas Sin Filtros channel did not upload videos until 2017.

In 2017, he received 3 Gold Creator Awards for reaching 1.000.000 subscribers on his three main channels.[6] In that same year Daniel created a Pornhub account,[7] currently, the account is not available.[8]

Developer career[]

Dalas has worked on some video game projects like: Fur Fun, an adventure and platform video game in 3D,[9] distributed via Steam.[10][11][12] In January 2018, he announced that he would remove the game from Steam forever, due to the bad reviews it received.[13] In April 2021 he unveiled a project to compete with large social media to create transparency and greater connection between creators and fans, without censorship.[14] Daniel Santome during August 2020 was looking for programmers for the development of a video game titled "Fur Fun 2". «It is a fairly simple free game that has nothing to do with other projects that I am doing», he explains in an image in which he asks for suggestions to include playable characters with "skills, fighting style and appearance" of each of them.[15]

In August 2021, he released the beta version of your website Stardeos, a page that seeks to be an enhanced version of YouTube. He claims to have spent more than 9 months in the developing process, but haven't specified the day when the project started. During the first four hours after the release, the website was down due to high traffic of more than 150,000 users per minute.[16] This is due to the fact that the capacity of the servers that Dalas hired could not support large amounts of connected users,[17] currently in Stardeos the following message appears:

We have died of success uwu. 150,000 people tried to enter at the same time and we died. We know you want to enter, so leave us your email and we will notify you when we are alive again and you can create an account!

— Stardeos, [18]

Writing career[]

In 2016, he released his first book "Fugitivos en el tiempo" (Fugitives in Time),[19] and his second book "La tinta. Más allá de la magia" was released in the following year.[20] He has also developed a website for books on the internet known as Wrixy.[21]

Private life[]

He currently lives in Ireland with his girlfriend Lizy P, country where they have been living since 2017, according to Lizy's words: "Basically we save taxes. That is not illegal, I do not know if anyone can think that it is simply moving to another country in which you live and therefore you have to pay the taxes of the country in which you live". Lizy P also clarifies that: "at the moment it is temporary, it will not be forever."[22][23] Dalas has publicly shown his support for Donald Trump and the far-right party Vox.[24]

Family[]

His sister Ariadna Cabrera Lemus, artistically known as Ariann Music (Born 11 April 2006), has more than 4 million subscribers on YouTube, in addition to participating as a contestant on La Voz Kids II at age 8, she at age 15 has been a winner of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in 2018. Ariadna Lemus published two books entitled: "El poder de una canción" in November 2018 and "Mi vida, mi música" in May 2020, she currently attends singing classes made by her mother Sabrina Lemus.[25]

Judicial processes[]

In December 2018, Daniel Santome was tried for the alleged crime of cyber harassment and abuse of minors, being accused by 16-year-old adolescents and by a 13-year-old,[26] asking 5 years in jail,[27] 11 of disqualification, and 9 years of estrangement.[28] According to the testimony of the minor of 13, she and Dalas began to communicate through Twitter in 2015, going from Twitter to Skype, it was then that the accused allegedly: «He began to show her that he liked her and that he understood that there was sexual tension between them. And when she objected that he was a minor, he told her that it was nonsense». After that, Dalas allegedly asked her for a photo of her naked, which the minor did not admit at all, then Daniel Santome allegedly sent her specifically a photo of her naked torso.[26]

They did not meet in person until 26 January 2016, when she attended a signing of her book "Fugitives in Time" held in Madrid, Spain. There they chatted for a while and then he supposedly asked her to escape at night to a hotel, but she again refused. However, both continued talking on WhatsApp and on 8 February 2016 he and the minor "were alone" at the Atocha station to then go to the Retiro park, where allegedly Daniel Santome kissed and touched her while he said to him: I would like the first time you do it to be with me,[26] according to the minor Daniel, he touched her vaginal area and breasts.[29] According to Daniel Santome, in one of the videos talking about his case, I affirm that: «I have been denounced a total of eight times. I've been to trial twice and won both of them», it also ensures that Miare's mother: «is the main precursor of having advanced the news and rubbing shoulders with the pink press».[26]

On 17 December 2018, the Provincial Court of Madrid acquitted Daniel Santome for lack of evidence.[27] According to Dalas in the video "Soy Inocente. Ya tengo mi sentencia" (I am Innocent. I already have my sentence) I affirm that: «I know that they have already sunk my career to the maximum possible, I know that there are places that I will never be able to reach and I know of places where I will not To be able to be because of all the shit and the fame that I have on top of it. For me I am already doomed».[30]

Controversies[]

Dalas and RaiMito[]

In 2016, he was accused of harassing and having risque conversations with minors. Daniel responded to the accusations by claiming that; "They have impersonated me and has been asking quite young fans, between 13 and 16 years old, for nude photos and to have sex",[31] The conversations had messages of the supposed Dalas with the 15-year-old girl, inciting her to record pornographic videos or have a threesome.[32] The minor had conversations in a group of WhatsApp with the supposed Dalas, and suspecting that it was not the original, she asked Dalas's friend who had discovered her fake number leaked on Twitter.[31]

The supposed Dalas changed his phone number on the Whatsapp groups before leaving them. And thanks to this they discovered that their number was associated with Snapchat, which allowed them to reveal their real identity:[31] it was a young youtuber named "RaiMito".[32] RaiMito uploaded a video titled: "Dalas me obligó a hacer este vídeo" (Dalas forced me to make this video), in which he apologized to Dalas, admitting that he impersonated his identity with a group of friends like a joke. He, nevertheless, denied asking for photos, justifying himself on his phone's SD card. In the video he also shows snippets of his conversation with Dalas when he was discovered, explaining that he has already fixed everything although "the joke came at a cost".[31]

Así es Dalas Review (2017-2018)[]

In October 2017, the Spanish YouTuber Ismael Prego known as Wismichu uploaded a video titled "Así es Dalas Review", video that currently has around 20 million views.[33][34] In the video, Wismichu accuses Daniel Santome of having several complaints for gender violence, sexual abuse and animal abuse for allegedly having mistreated her dog named Argos,[35] besides insinuating that he fled to Ireland to escape the Spanish law.[20]

After the Wismichu video, Daniel Santome received from harassment to death threats,[36] in addition lost around 310,000 subscribers (known as Pambisitos), going from having 5,700,000 to 5,390,000, this made Dalas Review hide his channel's subscriber count.[37] And his YouTube channel was subsequently deleted,[38][39] after his channel's deletion, thousands of people on Twitter celebrated the situation, However, their "joy" would not last long, since a few hours later Dalas' channel was reinstated.[40] During the fight between the two Ismael Prego and Daniel Santome, several came out in favor of Wismichu, among the YouTubers who supported Isma were JaviOliveira or JuanitoSay.[41]

According to some media commented, Wismichu's video came as a result of a video in which Dalas analyzed and gave his point of view of the Botellazo case,[41] in 2018 I would have an interview with the Los Replicantes, in which he talked about a video in which he would show court documents and evidence that would disprove the lies told against him.[5] On 18 May 2018, Santomé published "el video definitivo" (the definitive video), an hour and forty minutes video in which he denied, all one by one, the accusations made by Wismichu and his ex-girlfriend, Ingrid.[42]

Denounces ElJueves[]

In December 2019 Dalas denounced El Jueves, due to a cartoon in which he masturbates with his penis in his hands, in addition to recording himself with the mobile while saying "child abuse? what's up, I love children". Daniel relates that in the drawing apart from him, "my sister also came out, as if she were a pervert and was going to do things to my sister". He also adds that "it is repulsive that a magazine is dedicated to selling these disgusting stupid things". In the video where he comments on the complaint, he mentions about all the damage that his public image received due to complaints filed by his ex and his friends, of which only one came to trial. Daniel Santome affirms that «despite being innocent when society wants to hate you they go from "I don't like Dalas to Dalas is the worst"». He aside he comments that the vignettes leave them as a «macho, pedophile, retrograde and stupid».[43]

Conflicts against Wismichu (2018-2021)[]

In 2018, Santomé sued Prego for the insults and slander crime, claiming a penalty of nine months in jail, and a 15,000 euros fine, in addition to economic compensation equivalent to 122,910 euros.[44][33] At the end of 2019, Santomé uploaded to his main channel a video titled "Denuncie a Wismichu" (I Sued Wismichu), video in which he talks about the lawsuit filed a year earlier against Prego for the video that "damaged his career".[36]

Review of Daniel's trial against Ismael by the defendant's attorney, David Bravo.

In 2021, the 25th criminal court of Barcelona acquitted Ismael Prego of the accusations of slander and insults perpetuated by Daniel Santome.[45][46][47][48][49][50] Later on 11 February 2021 Dalas uploaded a video titled "Wismichu: Condenado y con Antecedentes Penales" (Wismichu Convicted and with a Criminal Record), in the video, Dalas shows Ismael's criminal record,[51] to which you had access when you denounced Wismichu. According to account Dalas Review, Wismichu was sentenced to 6 months in prison for cutting the head of a 21-year-old man with a glass bottle.[52] Besides adding that he has at his disposal some supposed audios of Ingrid leaked by a friend of his, that would leave Ismael at the height of an abuser.[51] He accuses Prego of committing acts of Pedophilia in Chatroulette, making an appeal to speak with one of alleged Ismael's victims. As one of the girls who dared to speak tells, Wismichu was looking for girls, usually teenagers, and then asking them to get naked while recording the computer screen,[53] to then publish them on his website without censorship.[51]

Late February 2021, Wismichu uploaded a new video on his YouTube channel titled "Así Sigue Siendo Dalas Review", defending himself against accusations directed by Dalas about recording women sexually on the Chatroulette chat without their consent (then uploading them on his YouTube page and your website), and of having a criminal record,[54] later Dalas would upload a couple of response videos, including one entitled "Así Sigue Mintiendo Wismichu" (This is how Wismichu continues to lie),[55]

When Ismael Prego was denounced for alleged crime of child pornography, Dalas posted a tweet saying the following: «I want to clarify that this should not be turned into a "Dalas vs Wismichu". I don't want anyone to matter to me with this. Support the eleven and twelve-year-old victims that the Wismichu offender filmed in Chatroulette and have him measured».[56]
