Dimdim Castle (South Azerbaijani: دیمدیم قالاسی , Kurdish: Qelay Dimdim قەڵای دمدم, Persian: قلعه دمدم) was a Kurdish fortress located on top of Mount DimDim in West Azarbaijan Province of Iran, just west of Lake Urmia. According to Kurdish oral tradition the fortress dates from the pre-Islamic period. It was rebuilt by the in 1609.[1]
