Emerald – Musical Gems is the seventh studio album (and ninth overall) by the group Celtic Woman, released on 25 February 2014.
Emerald – Musical Gems features vocalists Chloë Agnew (her last following her departure from the group in spring 2013), Susan McFadden, Lisa Lambe, and fiddler Máiréad Nesbitt. The songs on the album are re-recorded versions of songs previously covered by the group.
The accompanying concert special for American television station PBS (and later DVD and Blu-ray), also entitled Emerald – Musical Gems, was recorded in April 2013 at the Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, Indiana, United States. It was the group's second concert special to be recorded in the country since Believe was recorded two years prior.
The album debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 albums chart on its first week of release,[1] with around 10,000 copies sold in the United States. It also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums chart[2] and No. 3 on the Independent Albums charts.[3] As of December 2015, the album has sold 73,000 copies in the country.[4]
