Engineer's Day

Engineer's Day is observed in several countries on various dates of the year. As of 19 January 1996, the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) has designated March 4th as 'World Engineering Day for a Sustainable World'.[1][2]

France March 4th[9] As a tribute to the creation of the "Société Civile des Ingénieurs" in 1848 (now named IESF www.iesf.fr) , and the creation of WFEO in 1968 (IESF is a founding member). Since 2020, March 4th has been registered as "World Engineering Day for a Sustainable World" by UNESCO with the support of IESF and WFEO.
