Eugenia Volodina (September 23, 1984, Russian: Евгения Володина) is a Russian model.

Career[]

Volodina's modeling career began in 1998 when she attended an open call at a Russian casting agency. Although she didn't win, she was invited to take part in a Parisian modeling agency in 2000. Soon after, she was sent to Paris, where Volodina began to establish her career. Increased attention came in 2002 when fashion photographer Steven Meisel featured her in Italian Vogue. That same year, Volodina took part in a Gucci ad campaign alongside fellow Russian Natalia Vodianova and opened and closed the Gucci fall/winter 2002 show in Milan.

Since then, she has been featured in the editorials of magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, i-D, Numéro and Elle. She has also appeared in the catalogs of Bloomingdale's, Louis Vuitton, Neiman Marcus, Kenzo, Hermès, and Victoria's Secret. Volodina's résumé includes advertising campaigns for Escada, Bvlgari, Bill Blass, Versace, Valentino, Zac Posen, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fendi, Chanel eyewear, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vittadini, Ann Taylor, Elie Tahari, Biotherm, Thierry Mugler beauty and Céline.

Her runway credits include top fashion houses and designers like Alberta Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Balenciaga, Balmain, Blumarine, Bottega Veneta, Calvin Klein, Céline, Chanel, Chloé, Christian Dior, Diane von Fürstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, DSquared², Emanuel Ungaro, Emilio Pucci, Etro, Fendi, Givenchy, Gucci, Hermès, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Jil Sander, Kenzo, Lanvin, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Missoni, Miu Miu, Moschino, Nina Ricci, Prada, Proenza Schouler, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sonia Rykiel, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Versace, Viktor & Rolf and Yves Saint Laurent.[2]

Volodina was planned to be the newest face of J'adore Dior instead they stayed with Carmen Kass, Volodina signed with Yves Saint Laurent cosmetics that same year.[when?] Valentino chose her as the face of his fragrance Valentino V. Volodina is also the face of the underwear brand Eres. She appeared in the 2005 Pirelli Calendar alongside Julia Stegner and Adriana Lima.

Volodina walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2007 and was the only non angel to receive a segment opening in the 2005 show.

In one of the interviews for Marie Claire Russia, Volodina said she was studying interior design in Paris, where she lived at that time.[citation needed] Eugenia's most recent work includes Elle Spain and Harper's Bazaar Ukraine and Numero Russia covers, participation in Ulyana Sergeenko's Haute Couture Spring 2014 show and advertising campaign for Irfe.

She is back on the runway at Balmain F/W 2017 fashion show, during Paris Fashion Week.[3]
